Privacy
Short, because there is not much of it. We hold an email address and a website address, and only for as long as it takes to send you what you asked for.
Who we are
InSite Scan is the data controller for everything described here. We are based in London. You can contact us at [email protected] or by telephone on 07852 367854, and a person will answer.
What we hold
If you ask for a free check, we hold the website address you typed and the email address you gave us. Nothing else. There is no name field and no telephone field, because we do not need either to send you a report.
When we run the check itself, we read your website the way any visitor's browser would. That is your public website, not anything behind a login.
Why we are allowed to
You asked us to. Under UK GDPR that is a legitimate interest in replying to an enquiry you made — you typed the address in and pressed the button, and the only thing we do with it is the thing you asked for.
We do not add you to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.
Third parties who receive it
We share your details with these processors, and no others:
- Cloudflare serve this website and store the enquiry.
- Resend send the email. They see the address it goes to.
- Titan host our mailbox, so anything you send us sits there.
There is no fourth. This page loads nothing from anywhere else — no typeface from Google, no script from a content network, no analytics. Opening it contacts our server and no other.
Nobody buys your details, nobody is sold them, and they go to no advertiser.
International transfers
There are none. Cloudflare store the enquiry in London and Resend send from Ireland, so your details stay in the UK and the EEA. Until 1 September 2026 this page loaded a typeface from Google, which sent every visitor's IP address to the United States. We took the typeface off our own server that day, and nothing has left the UK or the EEA since.
How long we keep it
Our retention period is thirty days, then the record deletes itself. If you become a client we keep what the work needs for as long as the work runs, and our accounting records for six years because HMRC require it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, the right to rectification if it is wrong, the right to erasure, the right to object to us holding it, and the right to portability.
To exercise these rights, email us. There is no form and no process — [email protected], and you will get an answer from a person within a few days. We will not ask you why.
If we handle it badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, and you do not have to ask us first.
Who handles data questions
Kariem Al-Ebadi is the data protection contact. We are too small to be required to appoint a data protection officer, and we have not appointed one — telling you that is more use than a title nobody holds.
Cookies
This website sets none. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel and no advertising tag on it. If you press the light or dark button, your browser remembers that choice on your own device — it never reaches us.
Last changed 1 September 2026. Rewritten the same day after our own scanner read the first version and found that it never used the word "rights", never named its recipients as third parties, and did not mention that the page loaded a typeface from Google. The first two were vocabulary. The third was a transfer we had not declared, and rather than declare it we removed it.
