About InSite Scan

We check whether a business can be found, whether its website works, and whether the things it is required to publish are actually there. Then we tell you what we found, including when the answer is nothing.

InSite Scan is run by Kariem Al-Ebadi, from London. Every scan is started by a person, every report is read before it is sent, and the phone number at the foot of this page is answered by the same person who wrote the report.

Why this exists

A business gets told its website is fine because the website loads. That is not the same thing. The enquiry form can be quietly failing to deliver. The payment page can be served insecurely. The opening hours a search engine shows can be two years out of date. The registers a customer checks before ringing can have no entry. None of that stops the site loading, and none of it announces itself.

What it does instead is cost work, slowly, without anybody being able to point at the day it started.

How a check actually works

We look at the site the way a visitor's browser does, and at everywhere else a business should appear: the search engines, the map listings, the trade and professional registers, the review sites. We put the questions a real customer would ask to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, and record what comes back — whatever it says, including when it names a competitor and not you.

Then a person reads it. The report you get is the shortlist: the handful of things that are actually costing you work, in the order they are costing it. Anything we could not determine is left out. A report padded with things we could not check is a report that wastes your afternoon.

What we will not do

We do not publish a scoreA number out of a hundred is a marketing device. It tells you nothing you can act on, and it is designed to make you feel behind.
We do not invent urgencyIf we find nothing serious, the report says so and it has cost you an email. That happens, and we would rather say it than manufacture a problem.
We do not touch anythingA check reads what is public. We do not submit your forms, we do not try passwords, and we do not test anything that would change something on your site.
We do not sell your details onWhat you tell us is used to run your check and to send you the result. The privacy notice sets out the whole of it.

What it costs to find out

The first check is free and there is no card, no account and no trial that starts charging. You get the findings whether or not you do anything about them, and whether or not they are ours to fix.
